Raindance becomes 'Brother's first U.K. Selection

The 14th Annual Raindance Film Festival has selected Brother to screen. Amongst the Jury Panel are Lou Reed, Dame Judi Dench and Matthew Libatique (DoP Requiem for a Dream).

In other news - the fantastic UK short film 'Devilwood' has been selected. Devilwood is written and directed by Sacha Bennett who has been a great friend of mine for many years. In fact, the week before I left for Australia 10 years ago we were shooting one of his short films. Incredible odds that we have film selected to screen together this many years later at opposite ends of the globe.

Good luck to both films in their screenings!

The festival selections hev been coming thick and fast with Tabor (croatia), Luciana (Italy), Rhode Island Int. Film Festival, Los Angeles Int. Short Film Festival all selecting 'Brother' to screen.

The biggest news in the last few months has been that actor Jai Koutrae (Brother), was awarded the Best Actor award at the Luciana Film Festival in Italy!

This was an amazing achievement as the jury were all Italian film industry representatives, and would have viewed the film as a foreign entrant. Congratulations to Jai on his thoroughly deserved accolade for an amazing performance from the whole crew...

'Brother' Selected for Phoenix Film Festival 2006

Great news - our 2nd U.S. festival has selected us for screening.

'Brother' has been chosen in the World Cinema Short Films section in the 2006 Phoenix Film Festival as one of only 7 films to be selected worldwide.

We are pretty chuffed as this is so close to the Cinequest Screening which means that we will get some good coverage in the U.S. throughout March.

Congrats once again to everyone for contributing to this...
